Your Flowers’ Journey Through the Studio
Every floral preservation piece at Flower Friend is made by hand, from the preserving your blooms to the building your frame. As a small artisan business, I manage each stage of art production, while my husband and and I work together to hand-build our custom hardwood frames.
Our workshop follows a first-in, first-out approach, with flexibility for the needs of each piece. I work through the queue in the order that flowers are received, while accounting for differences in floral design, framing requirements, and the time each piece needs. To keep the studio running efficiently without compromising quality, I also work in batches, grouping tasks like floral design, frame construction, finishing, photography, and packaging. This allows us to work efficiently while giving each piece the attention it deserves.
I'm always working to move pieces through the studio as efficiently as possible, but thoughtful craftsmanship takes time. Each stage has its own process, and I don’t rush the work at the expense of quality. Thank you for trusting us with your flowers and allowing the time needed to create a piece you'll treasure for years to come.
Understanding Your Queue Status
1
In Progress
Late June 2026 Weddings
Your piece has entered active production and is on my desk in the studio. At this time I may be working on designing your flowers, frame building your frame, assembling your piece, photographing your frame, and packaging your order for pick-up. Since these tasks are completed in stages and grouped into batches, your piece may remain in progress for some time before it's ready to ship. You can expect to hear from me in 4-6 weeks.

Early July 2026 Weddings
Your piece is approaching its turn and is expected to enter the design and framing process in the coming month or so. The exact start date depends on the progress of earlier pieces, the needs of each project, and the timing of workshop batches. You can expect to hear from me in the next month or two.

Safely Preserved & Waiting in Line
Your flowers have been preserved and are safely awaiting their turn in the production queue. They're ready for the next stage of the process, but design and framing have not yet begun. Pieces generally move forward in the order they're received, with occasional adjustments based on the specific needs of each piece. You can find generally expect your piece to be delivered 6-9 months from the date of your wedding.
A Note About Timing
Your queue status provides a general update on where your piece stands in the process, rather than a guaranteed completion or shipping date. I work to move pieces through the studio in the order they're received, while allowing flexibility for the unique needs of each project. I'll continue working through each stage as carefully and effectively as possible, and I appreciate your patience while your flowers are transformed into finished artwork.
